What is the PTA?

PTA stands for Parent Teacher Association.

We are a group of individuals who work to support the staff, students, and families of Bluebonnet Elementary.

Who can join PTA?

Anyone! Parents, students, teachers, staff, grandparents, neighbors, community members, or anyone interested in supporting Bluebonnet Elementary.

What is the cost to join? 

The cost to join the PTA is $12

Do you have to join the PTA each year?

Yes, your PTA Membership is valid for one school year. You must rejoin every year and Membership begins on August 1st of each year. 

How do I donate to the Bluebonnet PTA? 

You can donate on our website at bluebonnetpta.com

(The school will offer other fundraisers throughout the year, but these do not support the Bluebonnet PTA - ie. Boosterthon, Heartwalk)

Why should I support the PTA?

The funds raised by Bluebonnet PTA go to support the following programs:

- School improvement projects including the shade awning over the playground, the printed games on the playground pavement, gaga ball pit (coming soon!), and others

- Teacher appreciation gifts and lunches throughout the year to honor our educators and support staff

- Bear Bash (spring carnival)

- Tears & Cheers Breakfast to welcome incoming Kindergarten families to Bluebonnet

- 5th Grade End of Year Event

- Spirit Night at local restaurants

- Book Fair

- Arts and Education program, including the LISD-wide Reflections contest, designed to encourage art   for students

- School Programs offered to students throughout the year to enrich education

- Volunteer management for the Library, Workroom, and Classroom Representatives
