Get Involved — Volunteer!

There are many ways to volunteer within our school. Fill out the Volunteer Interest form for someone to reach out to you.

Thank you for your interest in volunteering with the Bluebonnet Elementary PTA! We are grateful for your willingness to support our students, teachers, and school community.

There are many meaningful ways to get involved, whether you'd like to volunteer in your child's classroom, assist with school-wide events, or support behind the scenes. No matter how much time you have to give, your involvement makes a difference, and we look forward to partnering with you throughout the school year!

Room Reps - Room Parents serve as a liaison between the classroom teacher, PTA, and classroom families. They work closely with the teacher to coordinate classroom parties, recruit volunteers as needed, and distribute important information to classroom parents throughout the school year. This role helps foster strong communication and support within the classroom community.

Tuesday Newsday This weekly volunteer opportunity involves stuffing flyers into the classroom Tuesday Newsday folders. It typically takes only a short amount of time each week and is a wonderful way to support communication between the school and families.

This year, we will select two volunteers per grade level to share this responsibility throughout the school year, making the commitment easy and manageable.

Book Fair Volunteers help make the PTA Book Fair a fun and successful experience for our students by assisting them with selecting books, locating items, and completing their purchases. Volunteers may also help with setup, restocking, and maintaining an organized shopping environment. No experience is necessary, and shifts are available throughout the week to fit a variety of schedules.

Workroom Volunteers assist teachers by making photocopies of classroom materials and worksheets. This behind-the-scenes role helps save teachers valuable time so they can focus on planning and instruction. Copying is completed during school hours on an as-needed basis, with a flexible schedule to fit volunteer availability.

Library Volunteers assist the school library by shelving books, organizing library materials, and helping keep the library neat and welcoming for students and staff. This flexible volunteer opportunity is a great way to support literacy and the daily operation of the library.

Watch D.O.G.S Watch D.O.G.S.® (Dads of Great Students) volunteers provide a positive male role model for students while supporting a safe, welcoming, and engaging school environment. Volunteers spend time on campus assisting with activities such as greeting students, helping in classrooms, monitoring hallways, supporting lunch and recess, and encouraging positive interactions throughout the school day.

Bear Bash Fall Festival: Event volunteers help make our school events fun, organized, and successful for students and families. Opportunities may include setup, decorating, greeting guests, assisting with activities, serving snacks, helping during the event, and cleaning up afterward. Volunteer shifts vary by event, making it easy to participate based on your availability.
